About the show
Loneliness isn’t gendered. It’s human.Calling it “male” loneliness doesn’t make it more meaningful. It just reframes it as a special kind of suffering.But suffering isn’t new.And it isn’t exclusive to men.The so-called “male loneliness crisis” is one rooted in a form of masculinity shaped by power structures that punish vulnerability and reward control, dominance, and emotional detachment.And we think that's something worth questioning.
What We're Looking for
We’re inviting submissions from artists with existing works, works in development, or proposed concepts for works about:• masculinity and male identity
• heteronormativity
• traditional gender roles
• intimacy, isolation and vulnerability
• power, control and social expectation
• online manosphere and incel cultureArtists across all mediums are encouraged to apply.
